About the Tour

Balloon Safaris begin in the still air at sunrise. As the first light sends a promising glow across the horizon at dawn, the balloon rises above the plains. The sensation of drifting above the world in silence is second only to the breathtaking views of the plains, forests and The Mara River, drifting wherever the current takes you. The sounds below carry upwards, a lion’s roar, elephants crashing through the bush, screeching baboons looking quizzically upwards. After landing, there is a traditional champagne toast followed by breakfast cooked on the balloon burners in the middle of the rolling plains.

Tour Rules

1. A deposit of 30% is required and the balance to be paid at least 2 weeks before the departure date unless special arrangements are made for payment on departure date.

2. Cancellation received 2 days before the departure date is subject to a 50% cancelation fee while no show will attract 100% fee.

DAY 1 : WILSON AIRPORT - MASAI MARATRAVELLING TO MASAI MARA BY PLANE

08.00 am you will be picked from your Nairobi hotel and then transfer to Wilson airport. Thereafter leave by 10.45 am flight to Keekorok airstrip arriving at 12.00 pm. You will be met by our driver/guide for a transfer to Keekorok hotel with a game drive en-route. After checking in to your rooms, you will be served by a hot lunch and then have a short nap. At 3.30 pm, leave for an evening game drive looking for the Big Five which Masai Mara is famous for. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

DAY 2 : BALLOON SAFARIENJOYING OF MASAI MARA FROM THE AIR

You will wake up at 5.30 am for a transfer to the balloon point. At 6.30 am take off by a hot air balloon for a one hour flight. This will end with a champagne breakfast where your captain will issue with a certificate of achievement. Thereafter you will our driver for a morning game drive till 11.00 am when you will get back to the lodge. Relax by the swimming pool after lunch and later return for an evening game drive till sundown. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok lodge.

DAY 3 : MASAI MARA - NAIROBIANIMALS OBSERVATION AND TRAVELLING TO NAIROBI

Pre-breakfast game drive in search of elusive animals like Leopard, cheetah and probably trying to find Lions hunting till 08.00 am when you get back to the lodge for full breakfast and then later transfer to Keekorok airstrip for a flight back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch.
