DAY 1 - FROM ENTEBBE TO MURCHISON FALLSARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AND DIRECTLY DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK


Upon arrival at the Entebbe international airport, our company representative will welcome you, pick you up and brief you about the whole trip as it will be.

Immediately continue on a trip to Murchison Falls National Park in the north of Uganda, a journey of 311km about 5 hours drive. Traverse through the undulating hill slopes of Nakasongola before branching off at Nakitoma for 7km to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary just 176km north of Kampala. Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda following their extinction thus offers an unforgettable Rhino tracking experience. Ziwa is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. Presently the sanctuary is home to nineteen (19) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks and relaxation.

After this experience you will continue on the drive to Masindi town for lunch and later proceed to Uganda’s largest park-Murchison Falls National park for relaxation. Check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 - ENJOYING OF MURCHISON FALLSMORNING GAME DRIVE, AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE AND HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE FALLS


You will wake up very early in the morning to go for a morning game drive where you will have a chance to spot early risers and nocturnal species before they return to their hideouts. This is the most beautiful national park in Uganda and this is the host of 4/5 of the big 5 animals and also home to one of the most beautiful and powerful falls in the world so far. Traverse the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park before returning later to the lodge for breakfast.

The 3,893 sq.km park is home to a range of animals, and you will have a chance of viewing some of the park’s residents including the lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, antelopes, buffalo and elephants. For the birders you will enjoy a cocktail of them as these areas support the secretsry bird and the black chested snake eagle, to name a few.

In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gorge plunging 43 meters into the Nile on the way to Lake Albert. Lots of birds diversity can be spotted and numerous animals resting and drinking water along the banks of the Nile. The most common ones being hippos, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles and birds include, the African fish eagle, Yello billed stork, Egyptian goose, Egrets, Malachite kingfisher among others. The launch cruise will take you close to the falls’ base where you will be shown the spot where Ernest Hemingway’s plane crushed during sightseeing tour to Murchison Falls in 1954.

After reaching at the bottom of the falls, you can then get off the boat and hike to the top. The top of the falls rewards visitors with amazing views of the Murchison falls as well as the Uhuru falls. After this experience, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARKVIA SCENIC LANDSCAPES OF ALBERTINE ESCARPMENTS


After breakfast in your lodge , our guide will pick you up and begin the transfer to Kibale forest national park. This is a journey of about 8 hours drive, passing via verdant countryside to the scenic landscapes of Albertine escarpments. Check-in at the lodge in the evening for relaxation and dinner. Driving distance-356km

DAY 4 - FROM PRIMATES SAFARI TO RWENZORI MOUNTAINSCHIMPANZEE TRACKING


After breakfast, go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest with the highest concentration of primates in Uganda like Red Colobus, Black & White Colobus, Grey-cheeked Monkey, Blue Monkey, Red-tailed monkey, olive baboons and bush baby. This park also has wild mammals like forest elephants, forest buffalos, bush pigs, hyenas duikers, antelopes and leopards without forgetting the 372 species of birds like blue headed sun bird, warblers, bee-eaters, kingfishers and many others.

After lunch transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with a lot of sightseeing opportunities en-route, like crater twin lakes, the equator, and clear view of the western arm of the rift valley plus its associated features such as Lake George and Edward, and the Rwenzori mountains. Undertake a community tour en-route, along the shores of Lake George. Get to know more about the culture and lifestyle of the people on this fishing village and the neighboring communities. Then head to the lodge for check-in and relaxation. Driving distance-150km

DAY 5 - LAKE KATWE AND KAZINGA CHANNELMORNING DRIVE AND CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL


After a splendid morning cup of coffee at your hotel, embark on the drive across fascinating rolling savannah rangelands of Queen Elizabeth in search of wild game. The stretch of the Kasenyi plain, the renown mating ground offers you a lifetime opportunity of encountering numerous families of wild game in a single glance including elephants, buffaloes, water bucks and Kobs along with predators like lions, leopards and jackals. The game drive 3-4 hours and you retreat back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

After lunch, you continue to Mweya jetty to catch up with a boat trip at exactly 4pm. The 2-hour boat cruise offers a chance to explore the 45km long Kazinga Channel which links the twin lakes, George and Edward, the channel is known to be the capital for Hippos and Nile crocodiles. Its banks are usually fully stocked with numerous wild games like elephants and buffalos which can be seen along drinking water. Retreat from the activity and to the game drive along the channel track you proceed to the lodge.

Day 6 - BWINDI AND BATWATRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK AND VISIT BATWA COMMUNITY IN THE EVENING


After breakfast transfer to Bwindi National Park. En route Ishasha, in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the exist to the Bwindi impenetrable national park and you may have a chance tosspot elusive tree climbing lions, the unique species that are only found in this part of Uganda with another group known to be living in Lake Manyara National Park in the south of Tanzania.

However, low lying fig trees of Ishasha offers a closer contact with these unfamiliar species than any other part. Arrive in Bwindi later in the evening for a local community experience with the Batwa. Driving distance -110km

Day 7 - GORILLA TRACKINGGORILLA TRACKING TRANSFER AND STAY AT LAKE BUNYONYI


Wake up for an impressive warm breakfast to shake off all the morning cold conditions experienced in this part of the country. Assemble at the respective park headquarters at 8am for briefing and pre tracking rules and regulations about the gorilla trekking and allocating each group of trekkers a respective gorilla family to track. Continue to the misty Bwindi forest in search of the world’s most sought after and endangered species, the mountain gorillas. This trekking adventure takes you through the impressive hikes exploring attractive forest landscapes characterized by rugged terrain which makes it quite challenging to explore.

The duration of the activity is between 2-8 hours inclusive of one (1) hour direct encounter with these elusive creatures as they forage, socialize and make their joyous tactics with the frightening eyes of the Silverback. You have the freedom to shoot as many photos as you desire before you retreat from the activity to return to the starting point. Have lunch, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the evening to relax and view the stunning scenery of the Kigezi region.
